Grotto Metamo is a set of purple glowing vine-like roots that grow down from the tree. The roots also spread to a nearby lake, Agua Dulce Pond.
If any creature touches the roots after someone speaks the name of a species other than their own, then the one who touches the roots will permanently be transformed into the named species.
The effects can be undone by simply touching the roots again and saying the name of the victim's original species. However, in order for it to work, the one to speak the name of the victim's original species must be the same person who called the name of the creature they were transformed into.
