Season 3 of Elena of Avalor was confirmed on February 13, 2017[1]. The season premiered on October 7, 2019 and concluded on August 23, 2020. A one-hour special "The Magic Within" premiered October 13, 2019.
It is the final season, consisting of twenty-eight episodes.
Plot[]
Within her final two years of ruling Avalor as Crown Princess, 18 to 20 year old Elena experiences many changes in her kingdom. Having defeated the evil sorceress Shuriki once and for all, Princess Elena and her closest friends continue their relentless search for a new threat to Avalor - The wicked malvago Ash Delgado and her daughter Carla, who are still on the loose in spite of Victor's imprisonment. With the aid from her decade-long master and mentor, Ash finds the hidden well where the Maruvians had forged their various powerful magical and mystical artifacts via crystal well, which would spell doom for Avalor if she were to get her hands on it.
When Princess Elena accidentally falls inside, the varied magical abilities she had received from the amulet that had trapped for her for four decades are enhanced, including her mystical Scepter of Light, now crystalized. Elena's emotions additionally become linked with external magic of various proportions, reflected by the colors of her dress. With the help of Elena's new magical abilities, her cousin Esteban's secret is exposed, dividing the family and forcing the former Chancellor on the run to ally with the new threats to Avalor.
With her Coronation Day approaching, Elena must not only gather forces to defend her kingdom, but also gain control of her newfound powers and face the ultimate test of her courage and character, before her throne, friends, family and Avalor, are lost forever.
